Role Overview:

Friends Forever International (FFI) seeks a passionate and motivated Programs and Community Engagement Coordinator to join its dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of innovative programming, empowering youth to become empathetic leaders and agents of positive change. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Coordinator supports FFI's residential programs, community engagement initiatives, and special projects. The position requires flexibility, on-call availability during active programs, and travel, including extended stays at FFI campuses in Belize and Northern Ireland.

Key Responsibilities

Program Support (60%):

  • Assist in the design, delivery, and evaluation of transformative youth leadership programs.
  • Coordinate residential programs, including those for NH high school accreditation, national cohorts, and global exchanges.
  • Provide on-site support during programs, ensuring seamless operations and participant engagement.
  • Act as an on-call resource during active programs to address needs and manage crises.
  • Track program metrics, compile data-driven reports, and support continuous improvement efforts.
  • Supervise and train alumni, volunteers, and interns involved in program delivery.

Community Engagement (20%):

  • Build and maintain relationships with local and global community partners, including corporate, civic, and Rotary organizations.
  • Represent FFI at public events and engagements to promote its mission and impact.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to support outreach efforts and create promotional materials for programs and events.

Flexibility and Adaptability (20%):

  • Step into various roles as needed to support organizational priorities and ensure smooth operations.
  • Assist with special assignments, including logistics for national and international programs.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to deliver high-quality results across all organizational activities.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree and/or 3-5 years of relevant experience in International Studies, Education, Environmental Studies, Social Sciences, or related fields.
  • Experience in youth programming, community engagement, and/or event coordination.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and extended hours as needed, including on-call availability.
  • Ability to travel regionally and internationally, including multi-week stays.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and organizational tools (e.g., LGL, Google Workspace).
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and maintain a valid driver's license with insurance.

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with high school accreditation standards and curriculum development.
  • Fluency in a second language.
  • Experience in nonprofit fundraising and donor engagement.
