Project Architect

Location: Pittsford, NY (Rochester office)

Job Description

Bell & Spina, Architects-Planners is seeking a Project Architect with prior experience to join our team and work on a variety of projects for commercial, institutional and Higher Education clients focusing on the building enclosure.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day production of contract documents, coordinating and assisting the Project team through the design and continuing through Construction Administration
• Responsible for specific technical design aspects and production of an assigned project, including investigation. evaluation, and recommendation of design solutions that best meets the clients needs
• Specific tasks may include meeting with clients, writing/ contributing to technical reports, production of AutoCAD drawings/ BIM Modeling, conducting field investigations and documentation.

Requirements

• The ideal candidate will have proven skills in design and construction documents, construction administration and project management on small and large projects.
• An interest in the field of exterior fac?ade, masonry, roofing & waterproofing, historic restoration of institutional, commercial and municipal buildings.
• Critical thinking with the ability to balance multiple assignments.
• AutoCAD proficiency is required. Revit, SketchUp and Photoshop are desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Architecture or related field.
• Licensure is desired.
• 6-10 years of architectural design experience, preferably with a focus on building envelope
• systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other design software.
• Strong understanding of building materials, systems, and construction methods.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• A passion for sustainable design and innovation.
