Project Architect
Location: Pittsford, NY (Rochester office)
Job Description
Bell & Spina, Architects-Planners is seeking a Project Architect with prior experience to join our team and work on a variety of projects for commercial, institutional and Higher Education clients focusing on the building enclosure.
Responsibilities
- Day-to-day production of contract documents, coordinating and assisting the Project team through the design and continuing through Construction Administration
- Responsible for specific technical design aspects and production of an assigned project, including investigation. evaluation, and recommendation of design solutions that best meets the client's needs
- Specific tasks may include meeting with clients, writing/ contributing to technical reports, production of AutoCAD drawings/ BIM Modeling, conducting field investigations and documentation.
Requirements
- The ideal candidate will have proven skills in design and construction documents, construction administration and project management on small and large projects.
- An interest in the field of exterior façade, masonry, roofing & waterproofing, historic restoration of institutional, commercial and municipal buildings.
- Critical thinking with the ability to balance multiple assignments.
- AutoCAD proficiency is required. Revit, SketchUp and Photoshop are desirable.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or related field.
- Licensure is desired.
- 6-10 years of architectural design experience, preferably with a focus on building envelope
- systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other design software.
- Strong understanding of building materials, systems, and construction methods.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- A passion for sustainable design and innovation.
