BlackRock Resources is seeking candidates for a Project Controls Specialist opportunity with our oil and gas client in the Pittsburgh area.
Responsibilities
- Analyze potential and existing large to mega-projects in each region/franchise for conflicts pertaining to scheduling, personnel/manning needs, contractor availability, and equipment availability.
- Recommend course of action necessary to resolve aspects of projects noted to be problematic to successful project/program completion.
- Work with project selection group and provide essential information ensuring in full understanding of project expectations and risks prior to sanctioning.
- Work with industry groups to research and determine availability of external resources that can or cannot support project execution.
- Develop repository of competing project data to aid in identifying potential conflicts for future projects in specific regions or franchises.
- Issue bi-monthly progress reports for each Operating Area noting aspects of concern and internal/external resources available.
- Attend project and stakeholder meetings as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Engineering, Construction or Business, or equivalent
- 2-4 years experience in Project Analysis, Controls and Data Analytics required
- Experience in Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Forecasting Process and Oracle
- Knowledge of natural gas equipment
