Richard Design Services (RDS) is currently seeking experienced Level II & III Project Controls.

Position Summary

We are seeking skilled and motivated Mid-Level / Senior-Level Project Controls to be part of our team at our Houston Westchase office. The position will report to our Houston Office Project Controls Department Manager.

Responsibilities

* Participate in the development of a wide range of projects (Front End Studies, Front End Engineering Development and Detailed Engineering).

* Preparation of project controls deliverables, which include but are not limited to: progress reports, cost reports, forecasts, manpower plans, cash flow plans and forecasts, etc.

* Skilled in planning and scheduling (P6 experience is preferred).

* Skilled in the evaluation of project metrics, cost reports and schedules. Providing real time insight to the team members and project stakeholders.

* Strong communication skills. Interfacing with discipline designers and engineers, the project management team and the Client on project status and expectations.

* Experienced with estimates and the evaluation of estimates, as well as the development of project budgets (manhours and cost).

* Interfacing project controls reporting with accounting.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

* Associate Degree / Bachelor Degree

* Minimum years of Mechanical Engineering experience:

Process Controls II - 5+ years

Project Controls III - 10+ years

* Strong Communication Skills (Active Listening, Verbal, and Written)

* Proficient computer skills including but not limited to MS Office Tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

* Work well in a Team environment

* Strong desire to learn

* Leadership skills

Work Environment

* This position primarily is performed from RICHARD's office located in Houston, TX, but may be posted temporarily on project sites, when required. Field site visits may be required regularly. The work will mostly take place in an office setting, and the employee will need to communicate with others in person, over the phone, and through email. The employee should be physically able to carry out the required tasks. They may need to visit Client facilities, so it's important that the employee is in good physical health in order to travel, conduct field assessments, attend meetings at various locations, and perform other duties as required.
