Good Day!NES Fircroft is excited to announce that our Chicago office has recently acquired a new job opportunity with a national oil and gas organization at their refinery in Lima, OH for a Project Controls Specialist/Cost Analyst.This individual would be employed on a contract to hire basis and beresponsible for project controls and cost functions during turnarounds. Further job details can be found below.Job DetailsLocation: Lima, OH.Hours: M-F â 40 hours per week â Some OT will be required as the project progresses.Pay Range: Negotiable based on previous experience + per diem for non-local candidates.Contract Duration: Contract to HireResponsibilitiesThe role reports to the Manager of Project Controls and supports Projects and Turnaround Groups for the setup, maintenance, and reporting of project cost information; reports performance and variances to approved budgets, planned commitments, and actual costs, including variances; supports the creation of requisitions (as-needed basis) for services and materials, services and materials tracking, and purchase order management; manages WBS & CBS strategies and structure for effective cost management & reporting; assists with the development of Project Controls deliverables, plans and processes; validates headcounts to report planned, actuals, and variances and trends; collects cost data by various cost types and assists with development of reports for performance results; supports Track MCI management and administration including validation of vendor charge codes, actuals versus planned costs for labor, materials, equipment, and mobilization; reconciles vendor invoices to project documents and supports financial closeout. The position will require general administrative and analytical ability/skills to identify forecast variances to planned spend/cash flow and purchase order commitments, project change management, develop departmental, organizational KPIs and report results to key team members and project stakeholders.Position Responsibilities:Experience with Turnaround projects, engineering projects, and/or construction, preferably in an owner's representative capacity, preferably in refining or chemical projectsStrong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), especially MS ExcelStrong knowledge and experience working in SAP, with prior experience in RequisitioningExperience creating, managing, and closing work orders in SAP, preferredExperience with Track MCI software administration, including timekeeping and materials modules, and reporting suitesProcurement and Purchase Order management and trackingProject change management - change logs, forms, and supporting documentsWorking knowledge of Industrial/Refining/Chemical construction process & contract deliveryStaffing plans development and managementAttention to detail and accuracyExcellent planning, time management, problem-solving and analytical skillsPatient when handling issues and/or problem resolution situationsStrong verbal and written communications skills, along with the understanding and ability to work with confidential informationProven commitment to Safety, Health, and Environmental standardsSpecial Skills:Understands procurement and construction workflowExperience calculating progress/earned value and productivity (PF)Value of Work Done calculations and VOWD status reportingDeveloping custom reports using key financial and performance dataFinancial accruals managementUnderstands Primavera and Microsoft Project schedules definitions and basic schedule philosophies/fundamentalsJob QualificationsMust have at least 5+ years of Project Controls or Cost related experience.Must have previous experience supporting either capital projects or turnaround work in an industrial setting.Must have previous experience working with SAP and Power Bi.P6 Primavera scheduling experience is a plus.Candidates local to the Lima, OH region are a huge plus.With over 90 years' combined experience, NES Fircroft (NES) is proud to be the world's leading engineering staffing provider spanning the Oil & Gas, Power & Renewables, Chemicals, Construction & Infrastructure, Life Sciences, Mining and Manufacturing sectors worldwide.
