SUMMARYUnder the guidance of the Director of Technology & Projects, the Project Coordinator researches, develops, and executes technology and innovation projects from start to finish, assisting with seamless execution and working with key stakeholders to conduct impact analyses. They help to develop the scope of each project to ensure appropriate project participants are involved and maintain consistent communication throughout the project lifecycle.The ideal candidate for this role should have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively will also be critical to this coordinator's success.Overall, the Project Coordinator contributes greatly to the organization's success, supporting the completion of technology and innovation, branch, and efficiency projects and improved efficiencies.All employees are expected to protect the information and assets of the organization through heightened awareness of information security, cybersecurity, and risk management best practices, as well as complying with all applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies.ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Assist in the development and implementation of project strategies, objectives, and goals.
- Assist in establishing projects, budgets, and presentation materials for review and approval.
- Maintain and monitor project plans, project schedule, and ensure all projects are completed on an agreed timeline.
- Assess project risks and issues and suggest solutions where applicable.
- Coordinate with external vendors on the implementation of system enhancements and changes to improve system and process efficiency.
- Serve as a central point of contact and collaborative team member with our internal business partners to implement system enhancements and changes.
- Research and troubleshoot issues when they arise. Prioritize and escalate issues, as appropriate, by working with team members and/or external vendors to resolve.
- Collaborate with appropriate team members to design, develop and deliver end-user documentation in both technical and user-friendly language. Communicate system enhancements and changes to end-users.
- Maintain, manage, and document all project reports and statements. Document and follow up on important actions and decisions from meetings.
- Communicate regularly with project team and stakeholders.
- Chair and facilitate project meetings and distribute appropriate documents to project team members or users. Prepare presentation materials for meetings.
- Ensure stakeholder views are managed towards a best solution.
- Ensure compliance with all bank policies and procedures and applicable regulations.
- Ensure adherence to the bank's Project Management Policy for all projects and make recommendations for changes as necessary as project management strategies evolve.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with project team members and external vendors.
- Assume responsibility for special projects and tasks as assigned.
EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, a related field, or a commensurate combination of education and experience required.
- Experience in a banking environment, preferably working with core banking systems and procedures, required.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Broad and in-depth understanding of various laws and regulations pertaining to the banking industry.
- Confident decision-making abilities and the skill to use sound judgment about the timing of choices; particularly the ability to make informed, responsible decisions with limited information or under considerable amounts of stress.
- Strong critical-thinking skills and the ability to analyze potential project outcomes with the adaptability to redirect attention as needed to meet targets and deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with internal and external customers at all levels.
- A positive and proactive approach to work, demonstrating enthusiasm, adaptability, and the ability to maintain composure and professionalism in stressful or adverse conditions.
- Proficient computer literacy, including comfort with Microsoft systems and Office Suite.
- Intermediate typing skills to meet the needs of this position.
- Current driver's license and reliable transportation with appropriate insurance coverage; additionally, the ability to drive occasionally in the course of performing assigned duties and responsibilities.
- The ability to work with minimal or no supervision.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Direct experience in project coordination strongly preferred.
