Major job responsibilities:
- Supports development and maintenance of project management tools and documentation, including budgets, schedules, work plans, evaluations and reports
- Working with the Project Manager Specialist and GRI Budget Analyst, review and prepare monthly budget reconciliation
- Facilitates project communication, including preparing regular updates and updating project management tools
- Collaborates on vendor contacts and procurement requisitions, including coordinating shipping of archival materials
- Compiles, presents and distributes project information and status reports
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 3-4 years as a project coordinator
- Experience working in cultural institutions; archives and libraries preferred

- Strong skills in project coordination
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with a variety of stakeholders
- Ability to exercise sound judgment in making critical decisions
- Knowledge of African American history and culture preferred
- Knowledge of archives and digitization processes preferred
