Job Description :

Major job responsibilities:

  • Supports development and maintenance of project management tools and documentation, including budgets, schedules, work plans, evaluations and reports
  • Working with the Project Manager Specialist and GRI Budget Analyst, review and prepare monthly budget reconciliation
  • Facilitates project communication, including preparing regular updates and updating project management tools
  • Collaborates on vendor contacts and procurement requisitions, including coordinating shipping of archival materials
  • Compiles, presents and distributes project information and status reports

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 3-4 years as a project coordinator
  • Experience working in cultural institutions; archives and libraries preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong skills in project coordination
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with a variety of stakeholders
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in making critical decisions
  • Knowledge of African American history and culture preferred
  • Knowledge of archives and digitization processes preferred
