Job Description :

Overview:

  • This position will manage and maintain multiple project and program schedules for Transmission business line and support for a variety of Transmission scheduling staff.
  • Additional functions include development and management of bundle-level schedules and support of existing demand and capacity systems across various Transmission organizations, maintenance of procedure, and training documentation.
  • This position will also be tasked with project control components such as resource management in Microsoft Project Web Application (PWA) and within Microsoft Project Server, schedule reporting, bundle schedule maintenance, review and comment on 3rd party schedules, conduct time impact analysis, cost and resource loading, and regularly perform schedule updates in Microsoft server.
  • This position will manage detailed Gantt schedule(s) on MS Project with rolling look-ahead to forecast demand and capacity in the Microsoft Project (MSP) schedule(s), critical path analysis, schedule variance reports baseline vs. schedule updates, resources, and percent complete.

REQUIREMENTS

Education & Corresponding Experience:

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, business administration or management, organizational development, or other related technical discipline is preferred.
  • 5 years of experience is required with an applicable bachelor's degree.
  • 7 years of experience is required with an applicable associate degree.
  • 9 years of experience is required without a degree or applicable degree.
  • Experience should include direct work experience in project coordination / control capacity, including all aspects of scheduling, schedule management, and scheduling conflict resolutions.

Required Technical Skills & Experience:

  • Demonstrated proficiency using SharePoint, to store, analyze, and manipulate data.
  • 4 years of Microsoft Project experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Support: Assist in planning and tracking project schedules, milestones, and deliverables using Microsoft Project (MSP). Develop reports, manage risks, and ensure alignment with BPA's Capital Investment Acquisition (CIA) processes.
  • Communication & Coordination: Serve as a liaison between stakeholders, including engineering, construction, and contractors, ensuring clear, consistent updates and addressing challenges collaboratively.
  • Scheduling Expertise: Create and maintain detailed project schedules, evaluate critical paths, and recommend solutions for delays or risks. Provide MSP expertise, including developing templates, tools, and macros.
  • Resource Management: Coordinate with internal teams to secure resources, track commitments, and ensure projects remain on schedule and within scope.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain project documentation, monitor action items, and distribute updates to stakeholders.
