We believe that bipartisanship combines the best ideas of both parties to create even better, lasting policy.BPC is currently seeking a project coordinator or project manager to support BPC's Energy Program and our growing portfolio of work that is focused on energy innovation, decarbonization and climate policy, infrastructure and permitting reform, carbon management, natural climate solutions, and other related issues. The successful candidate will be a strong team player who thrives in a dynamic, collaborative, and fast-paced environment. A successful applicant would have 1-3 years of experience with administrative and logistics tasks, scheduling, coordinating across organizational teams, and some grants and funder administration.RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Primarily responsible for day-to-day coordination and/or project management of the Energy team's activities, including operational support of a new Energy Program.
  • Advisory Council.
  • Develop and coordinate project workflow, communications calendar, and grants and development responsibilities.
  • Coordinate integration of projects and BPC/BPC Action functional areas, including development, operations, and communications teams.
  • Draft external communications and development documents, newsletters, and grant reports.
  • Conduct research into specific issue areas, and development projects as needed, related to energy and climate policy.
  • Provide administrative support by scheduling meetings with staff, project leadership, consultants, and external organizations, arrange travel and accommodations for project members and meeting attendees, plan logistics for project-related meetings, and manage invoices, contract payments, and reimbursements.
  • Prepare agendas for, attend, and take and circulate notes on all project meetings.
  • Work with the events team to plan and staff internal and external events.
  • Work with the development team to support drafting of grant proposals and grant reports and managing donor relations.QUALIFICATIONS
    • For Project Coordinator: Bachelor's or Master's Degree and at least 1 year of experience OR at least 3 years relevant office experience.
    • For Project Manager: Bachelor's Degree and at least 3 years of relevant experience OR at least 5 years of relevant experience.
    • Strong computer skills are required, including experience with and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software such as Salesforce is a plus.
    • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to communicate effectively.
    • Ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize competing deadlines.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Previous experience with grants and contracts management or event planning is a plus.BPC offers a highly competitive salary and provides generous benefits. As a result, BPC is currently operating on a hybrid schedule. Employees at BPC are currently coming into the office three times a week. Exact time and schedules will be determined between an employee and their manager.BPC offers comprehensive health insurance benefits with a choice of open access HMO, POS, or PPO plan. HMO and POS individual plans have a monthly premium cost share of 10%. Dependent and Family HMO and POS plans are offered with a monthly cost share equal to 20% of the difference between the plan premium and the individual HMO monthly premium. PPO plans are offered with a 20% premium cost-share for all plans.Additional benefits include 403(b) matching contributions of up to 7% of salary in addition to a non-elective contribution of 2% of salary (both after 90 days of employment); 15 vacation days, 2 personal days, 15 sick days, and 12 holidays per year; education benefits up to $5,250 per year after one year of employment; $2,000 for professional development expenses after six months of employment; Metro benefits of up to $130 per month; Company provided life insurance; and dental and vision insurance coverage with a Flexible Spending Plan.We reasonably believe the base salary range for the Project Coordinator position is $58,000 - $68,000 and for the Project Manager position is $68,000 - $83,000.
