WPH is currently seeking a Project Cost Control Specialist to assist with the development of our growing organization. Position SummaryThe Project Cost Control Specialist is responsible for managing and monitoring project costs to ensure that budgets are adhered to, and financial performance is optimized. This role requires strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with project teams. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Include the Following:Develop, implement, and maintain project cost control systems and procedures.Manage project budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.Monitor project expenditures, ensuring they align with budget estimates.Conduct regular cost analysis and reporting to identify variances and recommend corrective actions.Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to ensure financial objectives are met.Review and analyze subcontractor and vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance.Assist in the preparation of progress reports and financial presentations for management.Conduct risk assessments to identify potential cost overruns and develop mitigation strategies.Maintain accurate records of all project costs and financial transactions.Support project scheduling and resource allocation to optimize costs.Education & Experience RequirementsBachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Accounting, Business, or Construction Management strongly preferred.4+ years practical experience.Proficient with MS Office suite; Excel, PowerPoint, Word, OutlookExperience presenting to leadership.Core CompetenciesHighly organized with the ability to identify and manage priorities along with strong analytical skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.Proficient in project management software and financial analysis tools.Experience in construction management.Detail oriented.Ability to multi-task and work independently and with a team.Physical/Mental Demands/Requirements & Work EnvironmentMay be exposed to chemicals necessary to perform required tasks. Any hazardous chemicals the employee may be exposed to are listed in the hospital's SDS (Safety Data Sheet) data base and may be accessed through the hospital's Intranet site (Employee Tools/SDS Access).
