Project Delivery Leader, Transportation - RK&K : Job Details

At RK&K, we are hiring a Project Delivery Leader in our Raleigh, NC office. This role performs a wide variety of transportation/highway planning and engineering tasks, including developing/analyzing alternative solutions, overseeing talented and professional staff, and leading highway planning and/or design projects. The individual must have a clear understanding of AASHTO, North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) and local design criteria. Coordination with clients, consultants, government agencies, and project staff will be required.Essential FunctionLead transportation planning and/or design projects in a dynamic, fast-paced team-oriented environmentMentor junior engineering and technician staff on transportation planning and/or design taskUnderstand and apply Highway Design Standards, and other highway design manuals and guidelines to transportation projectsProduce construction documents, specifications, and construction cost estimatesExcellent written and oral communication skills; ability to work in a team environmentRequired Skills and ExperienceBS in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited engineering programTen (10) + years of experience in civil engineering design and/or transportation/highway engineeringNorth Carolina Professional Engineering Registration (PE) or ability to obtain within six (6) monthsExpertise in Microstation / Geopak / InRoads/ Open Roads and/or AutoCAD / Civil 3D and proficiency in Microsoft Word and ExcelPreferred Skills and ExperienceNorth Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) experienceAlternative project delivery experienceOther DutiesPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
