About Our Client Our client is experiencing massive growth and is looking to bring on a Project Developer in their Chicago office. Job Description The Project Developer will be responsible for
  • Play an active role in developing the business for North American market growth.
  • Build and cultivate relationships with stakeholders, effectively communicating with various personalities, including landowners, partners, government officials, technical experts, utilities, and consultants.
  • Lead the progression of projects from initial development stages to commercial pre-construction phases, overseeing acquisitions from external developers or initiating projects from scratch.
  • Identify and bring in potential new partners, opportunities for project acquisition, and green field prospects.
  • Efficiently oversee both green field and existing projects, ensuring adherence to schedule and budget objectives.
  • Collaborate with various internal and external resources, peers, and consultants to conduct feasibility studies and manage project development activities.
  • Handle negotiations for land rights acquisition or supervise third-party land agents, addressing land use issues with landowners.

  • Minimum of two (2) years' experience contributing to and leading project development for utility-scale in North America.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time
  • Bachelor's degree is required
  • Be in or willing to relocate to Chicago
