Location: Remote, with travel required within the state and possibly throughout the region.

About the Role:

Metric Geo, representing a prominent client in the forensic engineering sector, is seeking a skilled Project Engineer across various disciplines. If you hold a Professional Engineer (PE) license and have tangible design experience in your field, this is your chance to transition into or expand your career in forensic engineering.

In this role, you'll support lead experts in conducting fieldwork, performing calculations, reviewing designs and documents, observing destructive testing, and evaluating construction documents, drawings, and specifications. You'll be essential in helping solve complex engineering problems with creativity and precision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist lead experts in forensic investigations, including fieldwork and design reviews.
  • Perform engineering calculations and evaluate construction documents, drawings, and specifications.
  • Participate in and observe destructive testing as part of forensic evaluations.
  • Provide support in preparing reports and expert opinions for property loss and related assessments.
  • Collaborate closely with team members to deliver high-quality forensic consulting services.

What You Bring:

  • A valid Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Proven design experience, with prior forensic engineering experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering analysis and building code requirements.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Willingness to travel within the state, with the potential for regional assignments.
