Project Engineer - Vallourec USA : Job Details

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Manage major capital investment projects for any area of the plant.

* Projects are completed on time, within budget and achieve a return on investment.

* Supervise contracted resources while onsite for facility improvement projects. Safety to include at a minimum; toolbox talks, daily work permits and constant supervisor presence.

* Manage maintenance projects to solve various problems in the mill.

* Projects are completed on time and achieve the requested goals.

* Maintain technical documents and prints.

* Ensure all documents and prints are easily available for all plant personnel.

* Supply the technical support to assist all Vallourec Star personnel on a daily basis, such as trouble shooting various problems in the mill.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE:

* Strong communication skills

* Knowledge and skills in AutoCAD, MS EXCEL, MS Project.

* Capable of working independently in a self-directed environment

* Travel 10 % of the time to visit potential suppliers, acceptance tests and benchmarking other facilities.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND CERTIFICATIONS:

* 4-year bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related degree.

* 5-7 years project management experience preferred.

* 2-3 years Industrial related experience preferred.

* Training in project management.

* Excellent computer skills.
