Your new role:

HAYS are representing a Northern Virginia based General Contractor who are seeking a Construction Project Executive to join their dynamic project management team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a 30+ year established general contractor where you can make a significant impact within a growing, reputable organization. This company are looking for either a Senior Project Manager that is ready for advancement into a Project Executive position. Or current Project Executive with less than 15 years of experience looking for a transition.

About the role:

As a Construction Project Executive, you will be at the helm of multiple commercial construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. Projects will be commercial construction focused and be ground-up projects in the range of $10M-$50M. This role demands a strategic leader with a proven track record in project management, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to foster strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the entire lifecycle of commercial construction projects.
• Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations and building codes.
• Monitor construction project progress and implement necessary adjustments.
• Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during construction.
• Maintain excellent client relationships, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns.
• Prepare and present detailed project reports to senior management.
• Ensure successful construction project closeout, meeting all contractual obligations.

Job Qualifications:

• 8-15 years of career experience in managing commercial construction projects.
• Demonstrated success in leading ground-up / new build construction projects up to the value of $50M, as the lead Project Manager.
• Current Senior Project Manager or Project Executive with less than 15 years of commercial construction industry experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools including Procore.

Compensation and Benefits overview:

• Competitive salary in the range of $155K - $175K.
