Job Summary:
In this role, you will lead a team and supervise superintendents and/or craft professionals on a project. You will direct craft professional activities and work schedules, and coordinate subcontract work activities and team development. Your oversight will ensure craft professionals have the tools required to be productive, comply with project policies, procedures, and job site work rules and procedures, and perform within specifications, schedules and budgets. #LI-MJ1
Major Responsibilities:
* PFS Tier II - most applicable to Area Superintendents and PFSs who are responsible for a very large vertical package or scope of work on large projects (>$1B and/or >1500 craft) of high complexity with multiple stakeholders' involvement.
Leadership / Supervision
* Supervises all Superintendents and direct hire craft and administers project work rules.
* Supervises Subcontract Coordinators (SCs / STRs) Coordinating subcontract activities.
Planning / Productivity
* Establishes and ensures compliance with project procedures necessary to perform construction in accordance with project technical requirements
* Implements the project controls tools to assure that direct hire work performed is within budget and schedule.
* Sets and meets cost and schedule targets.
* Forecasts labor unit rates, field distributables, and construction equipment.
Safety & Quality
* Ensures the jobsite field work organization is comprised of qualified and knowledgeable personnel and ensures effective personnel utilization.
* Implements Project ES&H program
Technical
* Assists in the Coordination of engineering solutions with Subcontractors, and Foremen and Craft Professionals.
* Coordinates with Design on constructability issues.
Education and Experience Requirements:
* Requires bachelor's or master's degree (or international equivalent) and 15+ years of relevant experience or 19+ years of relevant work experience
Required Knowledge and Skills:
* Supervises Subcontract Coordinators (SCs / STRs) Coordinating subcontract activities.
* Ensures AWP requirements are properly implemented in the field, by Area Superintendents, discipline Superintendents, craft, etc.
* Reviews subcontractor construction methods, schedules, manning charts, and material and equipment requirements.
* Reviews subcontractor construction methods, schedules, manning charts, and material and equipment requirements.
* Coordinates with other subcontractors and external stakeholders (or subcontractors) to plan construction schedules
