Job DescriptionA Project Manager, or PM, is responsible for leading a team of professionals in completing projects by a set deadline to uphold business initiatives. Their duties include setting or adjusting project schedules to adhere to deadlines, communicate with team members and clients, make decisions and monitor the progress of the project to keep it on schedule.Critical Skills:Exceptional project management skills, risk management, task tracking, status reporting, cost tracking, planning & forecasting, Leadership, communication, time management, adaptability, flexibility, patience and critical thinking, listening.Responsibilities:
  • Creating long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines
  • Delegating tasks on the project to employees best positioned to complete them
  • Making effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the project
  • Serving as a point of contact for teams when multiple units are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergy
  • Communicating with executives or the board to keep the project aligned with their goals
  • Performing quality control on the project throughout development to maintain the standards expected
  • Adjusting schedules and targets on the project as needs or financing for the project change
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or Master's degree.
  • Experience: 3-5+ years of relevant experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, or a related field, with a proven track record of successful project delivery and client management.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information and develop actionable recommendations.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present information to clients and stakeholders.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word). Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Tableau, SQL, PowerBI) is a plus.
  • Business Acumen: An understanding of business dynamics and challenges, with the ability to provide strategic insights and solutions.
  • Adaptability: Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks, projects and priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Work with a sense of urgency.
  • Commitment to Deliver: Ensure deadlines, analysis, documentation, timelines and deliverables are met.
  • Client Focus: Ability to maintain confidentiality with company and client information.
  • Travel: Flexibility to travel up to 65% each month
Preferred Change Certifications: PMP, Black Belt, Master Black Belt, Agile, Scrum MasterPreferred Technology proficiencies: Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, MS Project)
