Job Overview: We are seeking a seasoned Project Manager with strong leadership skills and a solid understanding of IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will manage complex, large-scale projects involving multiple team members and requiring coordination with various stakeholders and vendors. Requirements

• Provide oversight, leadership, and project management for one or more large size, complex projects.
• Assist in the evaluation of technical requirements and propose solutions that align with business objectives and adhere to SOM best practices and industry standards.
• Ensure consistency with the State of Michigan (SOM) project management methodology (SUITE), investment management, and systems engineering methodology.
• Perform long-term release planning based on organizational direction.
• Regularly interact with project management teams to monitor the status of budget, quality, and schedule.
• Escalate issues and risks as necessary to executives and exercise project quality control to ensure project scope expectations are met.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in IT infrastructure projects.
• Strong leadership skills and a basic understanding of network communications, including Firewalls, VIPs, F5 Listeners, Ports, etc.
• Knowledge of networks, servers, storage, web, and virtual/cloud environments.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to interface effectively with agency leadership and project teams.
• Possession of a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly desired.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with large-scale projects involving vendor participation and complex schedules.
• Proven ability to manage projects that extend beyond 6 months with 20 or more team members.
