Pel-Ona Architects & Urbanists is seeking a Project Manager / Architectural Associate!Our firm offers services of architecture, urban design, master planning, and the crafting of development codes. Our wide range of experience enables us to develop community plans that combine climate sensitive site planning solutions with creative building prototypes.We are seeking a Project Manager with 6-10 years of experience to join our team in Boulder, Colorado. Our projects involve close collaboration with development and construction teams to build vibrant neighborhoods in the mountains and the Denver metro area. The candidate will work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary design team on all aspects of architecture, urban design and planning. Candidates must have knowledge and experience of construction techniques, be comfortable working on multiple projects at one time, be detail-oriented, and have excellent communication and organizational skills.The ideal candidate will be ready to hit the ground running, offering quality written and verbal communication, quickly learning new skills, and collaborating effectively with team members and consultants. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, creating construction documents for single family, duplex, townhouse, apartment and mixed-use buildings; supporting / managing various project types and sizes; coordinating design efforts with engineering consultants including evaluation and recommendation of design solutions; engaging with clients; and aiding in managing project budgets, schedules and programs. You will also have opportunities to collaborate and assist with estimating fees, determining scope of work, and preparing proposals and contracts.While the role primarily focuses on architecture, typical planning projects may involve feasibility studies, zoning and policy analysis, coordination with local governments and stakeholders, annexation, site plan submittals, development code writing, public process, and collaboration with affiliated engineering services.Proficiency in AutoCAD is required, along with experience in Photoshop, InDesign, and SketchUp. The ideal candidate will thrive in a close-knit, friendly working environment and embrace the diverse responsibilities that come with working at a small firm.Compensation:This position is 32-40 hours/week in our Boulder, Colorado office.
