How you'll fit in: The project manager will oversee technical assistance, outreach, and partnerships related primarily to a corrections and community partners improve reentry success for during incarceration and upon release. The project manager will be responsible for guiding all key aspects of this portfolio, including developing a toolkits and other resources to help states bring reentry successes to scale; engaging policymakers, advocates, and subject matter experts; planning and executing national events (in-person or virtual); and assisting state and community leaders with organizing teams for planning and implementing of their grant deliverables. The project manager will be responsible for developing a work plan to realize project goals and cultivating and managing important project partnerships. The project manager will also work with the organization's senior staff to deepen the family work and cultivate new projects. What you'll do: Specific responsibilities of the project manager include the following:

• Directly provide training and technical assistance (TTA) to children of incarcerated parents grantees and their partners.
• Supervise three full time project staff members.
• Develop compelling written products and web content, including a project overview, presentations, project summaries, memos and other tools to concisely and clearly describe the project, policy options, and new developments in the field to policymakers and funders.
• Develop/expand the knowledge base on corrections, reentry, and criminal justice to the field at large, data-driven decision-making, and recidivism-reduction strategies.
• Execute a technical assistance delivery plan.
• Establish and monitor timelines and deliverables to ensure that responsibilities to funders are met in assigned project areas.
• Research new funding opportunities, contribute to grant proposals, and serve as a resource to funding agencies.
• Plan and participate in policy-focused meetings, conferences, trainings, or forums with high-ranking government officials, advocates, and national experts.
• Identify and engage new contacts in the field to serve as project consultants or partners.
• Ensure that colleagues, consultants, or funders are aware of relevant project developments and that other work in the field is leveraged for the advancement of project goals.
• Manage subject matter expert contracts; developing a scope of work and tracking hours and deliverables where appropriate.
• Participate actively and lead, staff discussions and strategic planning meetings.

What you'll bring:

• Ability to interact effectively with diverse people in different contexts and foster equity and inclusion through self-awareness, cultural sensitivity, and valuing others
• Dedication to public service with an unfailing commitment to act with civility, be nonpartisan in performing CSG Justice Center duties, and be a responsible steward of member and donor funds
• At least six years of work experience in the areas of family engagement and criminal justice, or equivalent educational and lived experience
• At least three years of training and technical assistance, research, or policy analysis experience in criminal justice, family supports, and reentry as it relates to adult and juvenile justice to strengthen families pre and post release from incarceration
• At least one year of supervisory experience
• Experience working on racial equity initiatives a plus
• Reliable and secure internet/data connection and flexibility for using a personal device for internet connectivity during business travel. A cost offset is provided by CSG
• Excellent research, writing, and editing skills and strong critical and strategic thinking
• Strong oral communication skills, including the ability to effectively distill and present complex information in a concise, accessible way
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including maturity and an ability to work independently and in a team setting
• Able to lead stakeholders such as correctional leaders and non-profits to achieving project goals
• Experience directly advising local systems on systems change
• Willingness to travel, up to several times per year, to deliver technical assistance in states across the country

CSG believes that pay equity and pay transparency advance workplace fairness. Compensation will be equitable and based on experience and geography. The salary range for this position is $81,000 - $122,500. Salary ranges are subject to change based on work location and market conditions. Our organization offers flexibility in work arrangements, allowing for remote work or a hybrid model. Candidates residing in the NYC metropolitan area will be considered for hybrid model employment.
