We are searching for an experienced Project Manager to oversee Construction projects across Central and Upstate New York. The ideal candidate will manage project budgets, schedules, and construction plans, while mitigating risks and ensuring high-quality standards. Experience managing projects in the HVAC and Plumbing space is preferred.
Responsibilities Include:
- Oversee the full project lifecycle, from planning to closeout.
- Define project objectives, scope, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders to align with client needs and ensure timely, cost-efficient delivery.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to track progress and ensure quality and specification compliance.
- Manage procurement, including bid evaluations, contract negotiations, and vendor selection.
- Control project budgets, manage change orders, and ensure adherence to budget limits.
- Conduct regular site inspections to assess progress, identify risks, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
- Maintain clear communication with team members and stakeholders, providing updates and addressing concerns.
Key Tasks Include:
- Develop project plans, schedules, resource allocations, and procurement strategies.
- Supervise construction activities to meet schedules, specifications, and quality standards.
- Select contractors and subcontractors based on qualifications and cost-effectiveness.
- Track project progress, KPIs, and report to stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, permits, and local building codes.
- Lead project documentation, including contracts, permits, and change orders.
- Conduct team meetings to address challenges and align objectives.
- Provide regular progress updates, budget status, and risk assessments.
- Evaluate project performance, implement corrective measures, and lead the team towards success.
Qualifications Include:
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- 3+ years of construction project management experience, delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, blueprints, and schematics.
- Excellent project management, leadership, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in construction software, scheduling tools, and cost estimation.
- Familiarity with sustainable construction practices and certifications.
Preferred Skills:
- PMP, LEED, or similar certification.
- Experience managing projects between $500K and $6M.
- Knowledge of local regulations, permits, and approval processes.
- Proficiency in BIM, Procore, and Submittal Exchange.
- Expertise in risk, budget management, and contract negotiations.
- Familiarity with lean construction principles.
- Operations background a plus.
