Description Job Title: Project Manager - Contracting Department: Operations - Strategy and Ops About the Role: The Project Manager - Contracting will play a key role in Astrana's growth strategy and be instrumental in our M&A integration and implementation efforts as well as supporting other operational initiatives and projects. S/he will be responsible for the successful planning and execution of the Contracting department's specific activities to enable us enter into new markets and grow. The position reports to the Senior Vice President of Contacting with a dotted line to the Group Vice President of PMO and Integrations. The Project Manager will work on multiple growth and operational initiatives including growth in new markets, payor and provider contract launches/conversions, new service line implementations, government/regulatory approval/compliance and other special projects. In this role, the Project Manager will partner and collaborate closely with the market leaders, Contracting, Credentialing, Compliance, Integration teams and other related stakeholders to achieve project goals. The successful Project Manager must be able to quickly adapt to projects of different size and complexity, able to plan, develop, organize, monitor, risk mitigate and successfully integrate contracting activities on all assigned projects by utilizing best practice project management techniques. What you'll do:
- Work with Contracting leadership to develop and implement department specific project plans, including timelines, scope and resources, to ensure operational efficiency and project success.
- Work with Integration team to understand special project pipeline. Plan and coordinate activities to execute on contact related deliverables on time to meet special project needs
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure all operational and project components are executed according to plan, including contracting, payor and market related activities.
- Be an integral part of onboarding any growth initiatives
- Create funds flow and other contracting artifacts, develop project plans, schedule meetings, track/manage Contracting related updates
- Communicate progress to stakeholders both in writing and verbally
- Put together audience specific presentations and report out on progress with regular agreed upon cadence.
- Provide operational coordination of the day-to-day execution of the Contract management, including schedule adherence, regulatory compliance, change management, technical and quality compliance
- Conduct follow-ups on off-track/lagging projects and coordinate task force to bring tasks back on track in order to meet operations and special projects goals.
- Flag risks/issues proactively and work collaboratively with stakeholders to provide solution by developing strategies and action plans to resolve issues and mitigate risks.
- Escalate risks and issues as appropriate for timely resolution and mitigation
- Build sound professional relationships with key stakeholders.
- Serve as primary contact to for department specific queries on all ongoing and upcoming projects
- Build Contract specific templates that will be required for operations and future growth projects
- Develop, track and measure applicable KPI's and other leading indicators department specific goals are met
- Continuously review integration processes and plans and perform post-mortems or other similar activities as appropriate and make recommendations for areas of improvement to the leadership team
- Initiate and work on department specific process improvement initiatives
- Manage any special and/or ad-hoc projects related to Contracting department and/or another strategic initiative
- This individual must unquestionably be highly organized, process-oriented, and self-motivated.
- Develop and maintain strong working, professional relationships with executives, Diligence, Integration Team, other cross functional teams for successful project delivery

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare, public health.
- Contracting knowledge and experience
- 2+ years' experience in project management, Healthcare operations, or related fields
- Ability to independently understand, oversee, coordinate across, and communicate clearly on multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Project Management Tools

Environmental Job Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Our organization follows a hybrid work structure where the expectation is to work both in the office and at home on a weekly basis. The office is located at 1600 Corporate Center Drive Monterey Park, CA 91754
- The target pay range for this role is between $110,000 - $125,000. This salary expectation represents our national target range for this role.
