Kamehameha Schools is hiring for a high performing Project Manager to support the '?ina Stakeholder Engagement Team within KS' '?ina Pauahi Group. This position will support strategic projects and initiatives that enhance, improve and mitigate risk across KS' '?ina portfolio. This position will work closely with regulatory agencies and lead facilitation of mitigation efforts for lands affectionately known as '?ina Pauahi. In tandem with our Asset Management, Natural & Cultural Stewardship and Leasing and Transactions, these lands help to support Hawai'i's local food production.
The ideal candidate will have experience navigating regulatory issues in Hawai'i, has great communications skills, and is proficient in understanding and serving the Native Hawaiian community. This is an in-office position, with potential for some remote work and travel. Job Summary Manages projects through planning and organizing. Utilizes project management strategies to plan and implement projects within the constraints of scope, cost, quality, time, and client expectation. Provides reports on progress and outcomes.
Essential Responsibilities - Manages project planning and tracking, managing scope, activity, delivery, budget, and reporting to achieve KS' strategic goals. Emphasizes the implementation, system assessments, quantitative and qualitative information syntheses, business modeling, business case development with viable solutions generation, solution impact analyses, implementation roll-out and transition planning and/or execution, performance management, and generation of written analyses and report deliverables for the project completion. Executes and reports assigned initiatives.
- Builds, leads, and motivates project teams. Facilitates project team meetings to problem solve to resolution and successful outcomes. Keeps project team on task to meet project deadlines.
- Aligns and manages client expectations. Communicates to internal and external audiences the project timelines and progress.
- Oversees professional and peer development related to the planning and delivery of programs, projects, and organizational and technological change.
Position Requirements Minimum Qualifications - An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for the requirements listed.
- Bachelor's in Education, Business Administration, Humanities or related fields.
- Minimum of 3 years project management or related experience.
- Demonstrated ability to methodically plan, execute and control moderate to high-risk/complex initiatives. Able to manage project scope, quality, cost and schedule to pre-determined constraints.
- Ability to manage and support leadership and staff through institutional changes associated with implemented projects.
- Ability to secure, coordinate, manage, and supervise internal and external (consultant/contractor) resources to achieve project objectives. Strong ability to lead and/or work in groups and teams to accomplish defined common goals and objectives.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, communication skills.
- Demonstrated consulting skills to include facilitation, negotiation and influence.
- Ability to use standard PC applications (word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation, email/calendaring).
- Ability to deliver oral and written program reports to senior management.
- Ability to make tough decisions when necessary.
- Self-motivated and dedicated.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and/or skill in organizational competencies of accountability, change effectiveness, collaboration and teamwork, communication, Hawaiian cultural commitment, and innovation.
- Ability to travel to various locations, including neighbor islands to conduct business.
- Ability to work evening and weekend hours as required to meet goals and objectives.
Preferred Qualifications - Project Management Professional certification (through the Project Management Institute).
- Knowledge and experience working in structured project environments.
- Experience in or familiar with Education, Endowment (real estate and financial investments) or Business operations such as Human Resources, Information Technology, Controller, Legal, and Communications
- Experience working in a consulting firm or environment directly servicing and supporting clients.
Physical Requirements - Frequently sits, perform desk-based computer tasks and grasp light or fine manipulation, talk or hear.
- Occasionally stand and/or walk, write by hand, and lift and/or carry, push and/or pull objects that weigh up to 10 pounds.
- Rarely twist, bend, stoop, squat, kneel, crawl, climb, reach or work above shoulder, or grasp forcefully.
Working Conditions - This position involves traveling to various locations, including neighbor islands to conduct business.
- Work is conducted in an office environment and may require work to be conducted in non-standard workplaces.
- Work is typically conducted Monday through Friday at normal business hours but evening and weekend hours are often required to meet goals and objectives.

Pay Range 76,700.00 - 105,200.00 Annual
