Project Manager

IT Cyber Security

Full-Time (Hybrid)

In office 3 days per week required -NYC based

Overview:

Reporting directly to the Vice President & Chief Information Security Officer, the Project Manager, IT Cyber Security (Project Manager) will manage multiple simultaneous strategically important projects within the IT Cyber Security project portfolio. The Project Manager is responsible for successfully managing key portfolio initiatives throughout the full project/program lifecycle. They are also responsible for assisting with Cyber Security portfolio management, including facilitating recurring project portfolio reviews with the team and tracking project portfolio performance. In addition, they will act as a supporting subject matter expert for other matrixed project managers leading Cyber Security initiatives within the portfolio.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage a vast cyber security and identity management portfolio initiatives using project management principles, methodologies, standards, and best practices
  • Strategize and oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance lifecycles of multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ensure organizational alignment with the Enterprise Project Management Office and other project managers in Information Technology
  • Maintain project road maps, milestones, tasks, and materials
  • Monitor and track all projects with the appropriate tools, prepare executive-level dashboards, and report statuses regularly to stakeholders
  • Research new methods for enhancing performance and track project interventions with positive outcomes
  • Complete project assessments to innovate new processes and tools for the organization
Qualifications: Minimum qualifications
  • At least one project management-related certificate (i.e., PMP, PfMP, PMI-ACP, CSM)
  • At least three years of experience as an IT professional in project management
  • Strong understanding of portfolio-level financial management (capital and operating)
  • Strong, demonstrated ability to establish rapport, trust, and confidence in relationships with cross-functional teams
  • Advanced proficiency with the Microsoft suite of products including Project, Teams, Planner, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio
  • Experience with both predictive (traditional) and adaptive (agile) project management approaches
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to monitor and synthesize data, identify trends and insights, and make recommendations based on rational thinking
  • Committed to improving quality and service through continuous improvement
Preferred experience
  • Bachelors degree in computer science, information systems/management, or similar
  • At least five years of experience working as a project/program/portfolio manager in a high intensity environment, especially healthcare
  • Experience managing a portfolio of IT or cyber security projects
  • Prior experience with applications like Monday.com or Jira
Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to create and present diagrams, reports, and presentations for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to produce professional-level documentation and reporting using Microsoft Office
  • Ability to deliver under tight deadlines and work off-hours as needed
  • Must be able to work in a very demanding and high-pressure environment
Other Requirements: #LI-Hybrid Pay Range - Minimum: USD $100,000.00/Yr. Pay Range - Maximum: USD $150,000.00/Yr.
