Job Description :
I am currently representing a highly succesful general contractor who have been operating for 40+ years within Broward County.They specialise in high end construction, they are a family run business who have fantastic staff retention. This is down to how well they treat their staff.You will be leading up to 5 projects at one time, valued up to $4m. About the Role Project Execution & Management:
  • Oversee all on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Manage contractors and subcontractors, monitoring their performance and progress.
  • Track project progress against the schedule and budget, identifying and mitigating potential risks.
  • Conduct regular site meetings with contractors and stakeholders.
  • Manage change orders and ensure proper documentation.
  • Proactively communicate project updates to internal stakeholders.
Project Closeout:
  • Manage the project closeout process, including final inspections, punch lists, and documentation.
  • Ensure all warranties and guarantees are in place.
  • Conduct post-project reviews to identify areas for improvement.
Budget Management:
  • Develop and manage project budgets.
  • Track expenses and ensure projects are delivered within budget.
  • Prepare regular budget reports and forecasts.
Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Effectively communicate project updates and address any concerns.
About the Candidate
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of [five years of experience in construction project management, with a focus on high-end retail or commercial projects.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Excellent project management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
