Role Overview: The Project Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of strategic initiatives across the Credit Union. This position involves developing both long- and short-term plans, setting targets for milestones, and adhering to deadlines. The Project Manager acts as a liaison for teams working on the same project to ensure coordinated efforts and communicates with leadership to align projects with organizational goals. This role also includes performing quality control to maintain expected outcomes and reporting on the impacts of delays and budget deviations. Effective stakeholder management is key to this role. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in reporting project impacts and communicate effectively within the organization.
  • Establish and manage project timelines.
  • Gather and organize information for daily project management tasks.
  • Provide input into the program management process.
  • Offer analytical support for projects.
  • Handle ad hoc reporting and project requests efficiently.
  • Partner with business units to manage complex, performance-improving projects.
  • Manage multiple projects of varying complexity, coordinating with business units, vendors, and executive sponsors.
  • Ensure projects are well-planned, resourced, and executed in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Deliver presentations at meetings and perform additional duties as needed.
  • Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Implement and promote best practices in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
Essential Qualifications: Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Information Technology, or a related field. A minimum of five (5) years of experience in project management within a related field is required, and can be considered in place of formal education. Prior experience leading a PMO or Project Management function is also necessary.
  • Excellent project coordination, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of Project Management Software (Asana, Smartsheets).
  • Proven leadership abilities with entry-level and intermediate staff.
  • Strong ability to prepare detailed business requirements and project plans.
  • Demonstrated capability to manage multiple large-scale projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and work independently with project teams.
  • Proven ability to meet complex deadlines and exercise sound judgment.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with tact and responsibility.
