Position Overview WhirlWind Technologies is seeking a Project Manager to support a client-facing project in Suitland, MD. The Project Manager will be responsible for executing strategic business priorities and providing support for best practices across the task areas. You will develop processes to improve the team's workflow, oversee projects that increase the team's impact, and contribute to the management of stakeholder relationships. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Lead and manage the team in establishing the processes and administration of program review and evaluation, development of milestones, resource allocation, monitoring of milestone progress, and assure quality.
  • Lead innovation that optimizes strategic partnerships, systems integration and data analytics in order to improve decision making for our customer.
  • Host intentional, relevant technical exchanges that create and forum for collaboration and highlight possibilities for innovating the learning environment.
  • Provide technical project management and stakeholder relationship development and management.
  • Find partners and collaborators for potential project partnership and business development.
  • Work with team to deliver measurable project related outcomes and goals.
  • Provide support and direction to a team of innovative technologists and government partners working in the data science, machine learning (M/L), and artificial intelligence (AI) arena in academia, industry, and non-governmental organizations.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical industry work experience.
  • Proficiency in project management software tools.
  • Project Management Professional certification (PMP) from PMI.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Must have technological acumen, preferably experience in training or support roles, but minimally the ability to relate to IT role functions.
  • Capable of completing tasks with minimal supervision and working independently.
  • Display and have great communication and comprehension skills both written and verbal. Due to our distributed company nature, precise and clear communications are required.
  • Have a self-driven attitude and can lead a team.
  • Be willing to take the initiative with seeing tasks through to completion and even work on tasks that may not have been directly assigned to you that will help your team and company as a whole.
  • Propose solutions to possible challenges and issues that may arise.
