Job Summary:
PIC Group is seeking an experienced Project Manager who can join our Project Management team. This position requires the ability to work with Managers, Supervisors, Hydro Technicians, contractors, and equipment suppliers. In this role, you will be responsible for project scope and project development, project management, contractors, and equipment. The Project Manager will work with the Regional Plant Manager, Electrical Engineer's as well as regulatory and dam safety engineers. The focus of the Project Manager is to support the New York region with new construction projects, major equipment overhauls and plant and system upgrades. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing targeted construction work scopes for the New York region as assigned by the Plant Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Work with state and Federal agencies in the development of new upstream and downstream fish passage.
* Respond to agencies' inquiries pertaining to construction projects and participate in agency update meetings both remote and onsite.
* Participate in root cause analysis investigations and manage resolution of major equipment breakdowns.
* Review all job scopes for accuracies and project scope.
* Properly update, document, and maintain all project related budgets.
* Meet with Managers and Supervisors to develop new job scope for system upgrades, new construction projects and overhauls.
* Manage and monitor contractors providing upgrades to systems, reviewing all scope of work documents, step-by-step commissioning plans, test reports, and analyzing results.
* Work with Site Supervisor and contractor on equipment designs, modifications, installations, including project management of all equipment upgrades, modifications, and new installations.
* Work safely and ensure the safety of all team members.
* Maintain an inventory of project assets, along with warranty dates.
* When conditions dictate, overtime and weekend work will be required (with little or no prior notification)
* Able to work and travel within the New York area of operations.
Job Requirements:
* Familiar with Microsoft, excel and projects.
* Ability to read and interpret schematics.
* Ability to manage all aspects of a project, technical and business.
* Ability to effectively work on several projects simultaneously ensuring compliance with company and department quality and safety standards.
* Ability to understand and manage computer-based maintenance systems.
* Experience in coordinating and managing outside resources (vendors, consultants) to accomplish work scope objectives.
* Extensive knowledge of process engineering software systems.
* Knowledge in mechanical engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering, and hydrology.
* Ability to communicate effectively, follow instructions, perform basic math functions, climb, and work on structures or overwater, and work without supervision.
Physical Requirements:
* Ability to work from heights and in enclosed areas.
* Manual and finger dexterity.
Education / Experience:
* 5+ years Project Management experience required.
* Primavera software and planning/scheduling experience required

As this job posting is available in multiple locations, the expected pay scale may vary depending on the specific geographic area.
Compensation Range per year: $90,000 - $95,000
