Position Overview:

The Project Manager is responsible for defining, developing, and managing multiple large, complex projects and programs. This role involves managing scopes and timelines, leading cross-functional teams, and ensuring ultimate client satisfaction. The individual in this position must be highly efficient and an expert in all facets of project management, earning the respect of clients who rely on their knowledge and expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead other project managers and cross-functional teams through successful project execution and completion.
  • Mentor and onboard project managers.
  • Apply and articulate privacy and compliance guidelines.
  • Lead onsite events and proactively manage vendors to achieve the best results for the client.
  • Support client work by traveling to live events and meetings.
  • Occasionally perform the tasks or role of the account lead.
  • Work collaboratively and consultatively with clients with minimal supervision.
  • Understand the strategic direction of assigned accounts, including client-specific disease states, products, and marketplace competition.
  • Provide original and strategic ideas to achieve client goals.
  • Make needs-based product and service recommendations to clients.
  • Assign tasks to and manage the performance of all team members.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • At least 4 years of project management experience at a medical communications agency or a pharmaceutical/medical device company.
  • Proficient/advanced communication skills, including speaking and writing clearly and effectively, balancing listening and speaking, demonstrating resilience, presenting effectively, and giving and receiving feedback.
  • Proficient/advanced relationship management skills, including being attentive to customer needs, collaborating with teammates, demonstrating leadership, influencing, identifying and solving problems, working through conflict, thinking strategically, and delegating effectively.
  • Good/basic skills in leading others, providing an inclusive workplace, inspiring the team, and setting the vision for the organization.
