Project Manager | Atlanta, GA | Hybrid
We are seeking a dynamic Project Manager with a robust background in traditional waterfall project management who is enthusiastic about spearheading our transition to an Agile environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage project deliverables within a waterfall environment, ensuring timelines, budgets, and scope are met.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including scheduling, resource allocation, and risk assessment.
- Lead and support teams through the transition from waterfall to Agile practices, serving as a change agent.
- Introduce and implement Scrum and Kanban methodologies across projects, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth adoption.
- Train and mentor team members on Agile principles, Scrum roles, and Kanban practices.
- Ensuring transparent and timely communication regarding project progress, risks, and challenges.
- Collaborate with executives and team members to align Agile practices with company objectives and address any transition-related challenges.
- Identify, analyze, and propose improvements to existing processes to align with Agile best practices.
- Continuously monitor and adjust processes to optimize productivity, responsiveness, and value delivery.
- Ensure comprehensive documentation of project plans, changes, and milestones.
- Develop and deliver regular status reports, highlighting progress, KPIs, and areas of improvement.
- Proactively identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to address challenges.
- Facilitate resolution of conflicts or obstacles that could impede the project's transition to Agile.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in a waterfall environment.
- Experience in Agile methodologies, specifically Scrum and Kanban, including hands-on experience leading teams through Agile transformations.
- Strong understanding of Agile principles, frameworks, and processes.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong leadership abilities with experience coaching and mentoring team members.
- Proficient in project management tools such as MS Project, Jira or Target Process
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to engage and influence stakeholders.
- Problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to effectively navigate change and transition challenges.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business, Information Technology, or a related field. PMP certification preferred.
Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
