Project Manager - Walker Lovell : Job Details

My client, a global leader in the automotive industry, specializing in engineered materials and applications, is currently seeking a Project Manager to oversee their automotive OEM customers. This position is a multifaceted role, encompassing various competencies and responsibilities related to customer relationship management, project oversight, sales management, and technical product management.

This role serves a crucial link between the in-house teams (purchasing, planning, engineering, laboratory, R&D and Plant Management), and the company's valued customers; ensuring seamless coordination for the on-time delivery of both ongoing and new projects, all geared towards the attainment of the business objectives.

Key responsibilities include:

• Identifying and analyzing customer needs
• Actively promoting products and technologies to OEMs
• Developing new business opportunities
• Achieving planned business targets
• Conducting deviation analysis
• Managing customer relationships
• Organizing customer visits
• Leading projects
• Defining technical product characteristics
• Collaborating with the company's central lab
• Driving technical business development
• Managing regional costs and budgets
• Providing regular reports following internal procedures

The ideal candidate should have:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in the same or a related field (preferably with expertise in paint shop applications)
• A well-established network of Key Opinion Leaders (KOL) in the automotive industry
• An apprenticeship or relevant educational background
• A hands-on mentality, excellent organizational and communication skills, leadership capabilities
