Project Manager - Axis Energy : Job Details

As a utility scale Project Manager at Axis Energy, you will be responsible for managing the overall execution of utility scale PV projects, ensuring that they are completed safely, on or ahead of schedule, within budget and according Axis Energy's industry leading quality standards.

Principle Responsibilities:

* Develop, monitor and maintain project schedules

* Monitor and maintain project budgets:

* Manage, vet and approve change orders

* Approve milestone payment requests

* Manage project cash flows

* Understand and execute on all requirements pertaining to electrical, building and environmental permits with local, state and federal authorities

* Coordinate logistics with regards to local community engagement in project areas

* Manage electrical and mechanical quality control processes, with ultimate responsibility for system quality and achievement of manufacturer warranty requirements

* Overall responsibility for the execution and management of company and OSHA safety policies on the job site

* Oversee and manage the on-site construction team

* Communicate information and logistics daily between all project stakeholders, including the company's internal management team

* Ensure subcontract requirements are upheld

* Ensure project owner requirements are met (if applicable)

* Manage system interconnection agreement requirements with the local utility

* Coordinate mechanical and electrical system commissioning procedures

* Coordinate and manage system start-up with necessary stakeholders

* Interface with accounting department in order to properly manage incoming/outgoing invoices and project cash flows

* Interface with marketing team to communicate and disseminate project information

* Organize and maintain project related documents in a format that is easily accessible and discoverable by all parties

* Compile and synthesize all project information into a turnover package for internal and/or external use

Desired Skills & Experience:

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

* Experience in large-scale PV system project management

* Experience with project management software such as MS Project and MS Excel

* Strong computer skills

* Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment

* Self-motivated

* Honest, reliable, self-aware and conscientious

* Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written

* Excellent planning, organization and prioritization skills

* Currently holds or is in the process of obtaining NABCEP Installation Professional and/or Technical Sales Certification

Direct Reports

* The Project Manager reports directly to the Operations Manager. This job is based out of Holly Springs, NC and requires some travel within the Southeastern US.
