PURPOSE: The Project Manager serves as a strategic driver for organizational excellence by enhancing the practices of execution management. Matures the project, program and portfolio management practices to better align work with strategic goals.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Effectively develops partnerships and manages relationships that foster collaboration and cooperation;
- Defines and maintains standards for Project Planning and execution, insures clearly defined goals and objectives, measureable key performance indicators (scope, schedule, budget and benefits)
- Uses the Project Life Cycle to develop a framework that aligns with the existing bank culture and helps the program and bank progressively evolve into a more mature program
- Participates in studies of new and existing programs and special projects to determine feasibility
- Takes the lead on project implementations, provides guidance to other PMs on the practice of project management and execution, assists with project management tasks
- Develops and continuously improves written policies and procedures
- Monitors all Bank projects, prepares executive level reports and dashboards
- Recommends changes, improvements and enhancements to work flows, internal processes and systems;
- Practices excellent time management, communication and organizational skills;
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Business Management
- PMP Methodology/Certification preferred or similar experience - including process flows
- Banking experience is required
- Minimum 3 - 5 years' experience managing projects
- Demonstrated knowledge of project management tools, MS Projects or other cloud based applications, Excel, MS Office Suite
- Excellent interpersonal skills and collaborator
- Technology experience recommended
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Able to meet strict deadlines
- Work includes changing priorities for multiple, simultaneous projects
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Standard 40-hour work week expected, though position may sometimes require early arrival, late departure, and/or weekend hours
- Office area is open space with cubicles
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
