About the Role - We're seeking a full-time Project Manager for our Germantown, Ohio facility.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute purchasing/sourcing strategy for assigned commodity groups.
  • Supports end-to-end project management & execution – scope, schedule and budget for projects ranging from $25,000 - $1.5MM.
  • Establish inventory management best practice(s) for assigned purchases.
  • Analyze demand data and develop supply strategies to assure continuous item availability.
  • Balance tactical execution with strategic initiatives to drive the lowest total cost of ownership.
  • Manage supplier relationships, communication, evaluation, production issues and supplier performance reviews.
  • Drive continuous improvement of workflows to streamline processes and remove non-value-added activities.
  • Interface with sales and engineering departments on re-sell product configurations, costs and delivery.
  • Work with planning, operations and inventory management to resolve stock, scrap and obsolescence issues.

Qualifications

  • Procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Metal and metal forming procurement knowledge. (Forging, casting, machining, etc.), (2 years minimum)
  • Ability to identify, develop, analyze, and implement procurement projects.
  • Must be able to maintain control of multiple projects/issues to meet sourcing/delivery milestones.
  • Understanding of blueprints and technical specifications.
  • Experience managing sub-contracted purchases a plus.
  • Experience in capital equipment procurement preferred.
  • Experience in structured strategic sourcing a plus.
  • Prefer previous rendering industry experience desired. Other relevant heavy industry experience in the paper, oil field, chemical & industrial industries will also be considered.

Minimum Qualifications Include

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field is required.
  • 3-5 years procurement experience (2 years minimum in manufacturing).
  • Current CPSM or APICS Certification preferred.
  • Strong team player with demonstrated ability to work effectively on cross-functional teams.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency is required (Excel, Word and Outlook).
  • Business Systems expertise with ERP solutions; Epicor preferred.

Pay range and compensation package - This is a full-time opportunity offering a base salary between $100,000.00 and $130,000.00 per year.
