Job Description
Javen Construction is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our growing team. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing commercial construction from pre-con through close-outs in Western New York based out of our Buffalo office. This position is responsible for the overall project planning and scheduling to deliver a quality project safely, on time and within budget.
Desired Skills and Experience
The successful candidate should possess the following qualifications:
· A minimum of 5 years' experience managing the general trades work of commercial, industrial, and/or educational construction on projects valued between $3-$10 million
· Computer literate and working knowledge of Microsoft Productivity Products
· Strong organizational skills as well as verbal and written communication skills
· Time Management skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines
· Must hold a valid driver's license
· Additional Knowledge of Estimating, Procore, and Sage are a plus
· Must be based locally and available to manage projects in Western New York, generally in Erie County, the surrounding counties and into the Southern Tier.
Responsibilities/Duties:
· Ensure that project safety measures are maintained at all times
· Interpreting plan documents, maintain and complete all project related paperwork
· Negotiating subcontract and material purchase buy out
· Create and maintain the project schedule
· Manage the submittal, RFI, and Change Process
· Work directly with the Project Superintendent to coordinate and ensure a successful project
