Separation Technologies LLC (ST) and ST Equipment & Technology LLC (STET) are the developers of a proprietary separation technology used to process dry powders such as fly ash, mineral ores, food, and animal feed materials, by charging and separating particles using electrostatics. ST is part of Titan America, a leading producer of concrete, concrete products, and cement in the eastern US.

STET has designed and constructed processing plants in the eastern US and Canada, with support from Titan America, to implement the technology in beneficiating freshly generated fly ash from coal-fired power plants. The product ash, called ProAsh®, is used as a cement replacement in concrete, rather than being disposed of in landfills. ST operates these facilities in North America and markets the product ProAsh®.

ST and STET have also developed a new process to reclaim valuable fly ash from historical landfills and ponds and have demonstrated its effectiveness on the pilot scale. The business is now implementing full-scale installations of the new fly ash reclaiming technology at electric utility sites in the Eastern US region.

STET & ST have an opportunity for an experienced Project Manager located in the Eastern US region to manage the design, procurement, construction, and commissioning of new fly ash beneficiation projects. The position will be located ST Technical Center in Needham, Massachusetts, or near potential project sites in the Eastern US. The position will report to the ST Vice President/Chief Technology Officer and will have responsibilities which include:

• Overall management of a capital project at a host electric utility site
• Management of engineering, construction, equipment procurement and installation, and commissioning/startup for new fly ash processing facilities in eastern US
• Management of engineering contractors during the detailed design phase
• Providing support in obtaining building and environmental permits for new plant construction and operation
• Negotiation and contract administration for construction contractors
• Coordination with Titan America procurement and legal for the purchase of new plant equipment
• Managing relationship with host electric utility
• Coordinate with ST Eastern Region Operations Manager to hire and train new plant operating staff

This individual will become a key contributor to our business as we expand our facilities in North America and Europe for the recycling of fly ash that is freshly generated, or reclaimed from historical fly ash landfills and ponds.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or related field
• Minimum of 3 years of work experience in technical project management in construction materials processing or related industry
• Experience is overall management of large, complex capital projects to meet an aggressive project schedule
• Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with multiple project participants (ST operations and marketing, Titan America management, host utility, state permitting authorities, utility providers, equipment vendors, and construction contractors)
• Knowledge and experience in project cost estimation, and large project execution
• Practical engineering and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
