As a Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of residential real estate development projects, from acquisition to completion. You will be responsible for managing project teams, timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Milestone focuses on the acquisition/rehabilitation of existing affordable housing development and building new affordable, market and mixed-income multi-family.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage cross-functional teams for at least three developments, including architects, engineers, contractors, lenders, public agencies, attorneys and partners.
  • Financial Management: Oversee project budgets, track expenses, and manage financial performance.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues that may impact project timelines or budgets.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to quality standards, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Grow Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with Property Managers, consultants, and partners.
  • Sustainability and Resiliency: Incorporate sustainable building practices including but not limited to Solar, Geothermal, CLT/Mass Plywood, Carbon Capture and resilient design principles into all projects.
  • Community Engagement: Collaborate with local communities to actively listen and understand their needs and concerns; and ensure projects reflect community values.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business, Economics, Engineering, Architecture, Urban Planning or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in residential real estate multifamily development.
  • Proven track record of successful project delivery and leadership including construction and permanent loan closings.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Knowledge of sustainable building practices and resilient design principles.
  • A passion for creating sustainable, resilient, and inclusive communities.
  • A sense of humor
  • Bring curious and not judgmental
  • Being a Nerd over something in the Built Environment and/or Public Discourse
  • Eagerness to help shape a relatively new development company

Compensation:

Anticipated Salary Range: $95,000 - $130,000. Performance-based annual or milestone bonuses and potential shares of equity may also be offered and/or earned depending on qualifications in addition to salary.
