About the Role:

As a Project Manager, you will be the driving force behind the successful execution of machinery projects from purchase order to installation. You'll manage projects after the sale, guiding them through engineering, operations, delivery, and beyond. This role requires breaking down barriers, bridging gaps between teams, and managing resistance to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to customer specifications. You will act as the key liaison between sales, operations, engineering, and the customer throughout the project lifecycle, with sales handling the initial sale and the PM taking over from there. Reporting to the General Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in the mission to innovate and excel.

Project Manager Responsibilities:

• Assume ownership of overall project performance from inception through startup.
• Act as the primary customer interface, managing relationships, communication, and machine specifications.
• Collaborate with sales to ensure designs meet customer requirements, leveraging technical expertise in machinery principles, materials, and manufacturing methods.
• Develop and oversee project plans, budgets, and documentation, utilizing creativity and independent judgment.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Materials Management to ensure timely and accurate project delivery.
• Monitor schedules, budgets, and scope adherence, providing regular updates to supervisors and production teams.
• Implement corrective measures for off-schedule or unforeseen issues.
• Serve as a technical resource for customers and Field Service Technicians, particularly during machine installation and startup.
• Enhance organizational reputation by exploring opportunities to improve project outcomes and addressing new requests.
• Travel to customer sites for project evaluations and installations (up to 25%).

Project Manager Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in related discipline preferred.
• 5+ years of project management experience in a design-to-build environment, ideally within packaging, food processing, or automation industries.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes and tools like AutoCAD, MS Office, MS Project Professional, and MRP systems.
• Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage change effectively.
• Mechanical or electrical background is preferred; experience with bottle filling or capping equipment is a bonus.
• Ability to travel as needed (up to 25%).
