Must Haves:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience managing structured cabling projects (20-30 projects).
- Strong knowledge of cabling infrastructure, including copper and fiber optics (fiber terminating, splicing, and testing).
- Familiarity with vendors such as Panduit, Commscope, Leviton, Siemens, and Legrand.
- Intimate knowledge of field work (while not a daily requirement) is essential for managing and guiding project teams.
- Experience with managing multiple large-scale projects and balancing competing priorities effectively.
- Proficiency with software including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Bluebeam.
Preferred Qualifications: BICSI certifications (e.g., Installer, Technician, or Designer) are a plus, with special consideration for candidates holding the BICSI RCDD (Registered Communications Distribution Designer) certification.

Strategic Connections is seeking a highly organized and motivated Cabling Project Manager to oversee and manage structured cabling projects from the post-design phase to completion and billing. The ideal candidate will manage multiple large-scale projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This position, based in Winston-Salem, NC, requires expertise in cabling infrastructure, project management, and a strong understanding of field operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage structured cabling projects from post-design to completion, ensuring successful project execution and timely delivery.
- Oversee 20-30 concurrent projects, ensuring effective project management and resource allocation.
- Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure project requirements and timelines are met.
- Manage projects with budgets up to $5 million in revenue annually.
- Supervise and lead large crews of up to 20 technicians on various project sites.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, resource allocation, and labor management.
- Perform site surveys, design reviews, and ensure adherence to industry standards and company protocols.
- Understand budgets and costs, including tracking and reporting on POCCs (percentage of cost completion).
- Lead troubleshooting efforts during installation and provide solutions for project completion.
- Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to structured cabling.
