Project Manager - ZAG Interactive : Job Details

ZAG Interactive is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, love a challenge and be passionate about the company they work for. Experience in Project Management, Marketing and Communications is a benefit, and applicant must be willing to learn and grow in the position. This position requires working directly with the clients and internal staff to manage multiple website development projects.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for developing and managing the project plan and working with team leads and the project team to execute on plans.
• Monitor day-to-day activities and be actively involved in the project team to ensure work is progressing as planned.
• Manage schedules, budgets, assets, and overall project organization and deliverable dates.
• Maintain project documentation to ensure requirements are clearly communicated, understood and executed upon.
• Develop a full understanding of project to be able to speak to any of the following: previous deliverables, signed client agreements, systems involved, defects, etc.
• Effectively and efficiently plan and prioritize all deliverables and resources working across project(s) based on scope of work and project goals.
• Actively monitor project risks and scope creep to foresee/identify potential problems and proactively identify solutions to address them in advance.
• Consistently manage client expectations, ensure delivery of the highest quality service, and solicit and act on client feedback.
• Communicate and document project status and strategic recommendations to clients and team members on a regular basis; escalate issues accordingly via the appropriate channels.
• Proactively identify opportunities and deliver improvements.
• Demonstrate good project management methodology and project processes.
• Work with strategy, business development and other teams to scope additional project opportunities.
• Ability to work closely with team members to identify efficiencies within process and team dynamic.
• Provide support and guidance to the project management team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and at least 5-7 years of experience in project management.
• Must have working knowledge of Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
• Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal communications skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work with and support cross-functional project teams.
• Must be able to distill pertinent information from client communications, and distribute key points to team members.
• Strong attention to detail and focus on task completion is critical.
• Experience with the design and development of websites and an understanding of web technologies.
• Strong knowledge of user experience, web development, web design and marketing is a plus.
• Ability to think strategically at all phases of a project.
• Work hard, play hard mentality.
• Ability to understand and document project requirements and dependencies.
• Understanding of business and functional requirements.
• Mobile and social media experience an asset.
• Competencies in MS Office, Project Management Software and other related common communications tools is required.
