Our client is in search of an experienced Project Manager with proven ability to maximize performance, build teams, as well as maintain outstanding customer relationships. The Project Manager will effectively manage project teams to optimize safety, cost, material, schedule, subcontractors, changes, and quality on large capital projects. We are seeking a candidate willing to work on out-of-state projects. A per diem for meals and lodging, an increased base salary, and a stipend for travel home will be provided. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES • Responsible for general operational oversight and completion of large capital commercial and industrial construction projects. • Responsible for developing and implementing strategies for timely and cost-effective completion of projects. • Prioritize and enforce safety protocols to maintain a secure work environment. • Ensure the project adheres to quality standards and specifications, conducting inspections, and implementing quality assurance and quality control processes. • Address and resolve issues and challenges arising during construction, making informed decisions, and preventing delays or disruptions. • Develop and maintain relationships with key customers. SKILLS • Ability to travel out-of-state for the duration of projects. • Strong situational awareness: Grasps concept of conversation even it is an area outside their expertise and reads the dynamics of a room and modifies their behavior accordingly. • Ability to work through problems (technical/non-technical) in a crisis, make decisions, and provide clear directions. • Exceptional listening and communication skills (written and verbal). • Strong and relevant computer skills. • Knowledge of safety best practices and procedures. • Ability to prioritize, pivot with unexpected changes, handle multiple tasks and respond quickly to requests of customers and superintendents. • Ability to identify client needs and manage the work from conceptual stage through completion. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management • 12-15 years of experience working in the construction industry and project management. • Completed OSHA 30 training preferred. • Experience with different contract delivery methods is preferred. • History of managing large commercial and industrial construction project. salary • $140k+, depending on experience.
