Job Summary
The Project Manager is responsible for providing personalized service to assigned accounts and is accountable for the successful execution of all jobs within those accounts. They ensure client satisfaction and are experts in at least one core area (Emergency Response, Industrial & Marine Services, Facility Decontamination, or Site Remediation). The Project Manager must adhere to all corporate policies, health and safety protocols, and relevant regulations.
Job Responsibilities
- Actively participate in identifying and developing potential clients.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for upselling and cross-selling at client locations.
- Conduct site assessments to develop work scopes, job estimates, and proposals.
- Oversee job delivery to ensure safety, quality, and profitability standards are met.
- Ensure appropriate contractual terms are in place before starting any work.
- Create and communicate work orders, detailing job scope, budgets, safety requirements, subcontractor or material needs, and client contract specifications.
- Collaborate with Logistics Managers to ensure proper scheduling and resource allocation.
- Monitor project progress through regular communication with foremen and supervisors.
- Produce accurate, timely invoices and monitor collections for assigned jobs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Expertise in at least one core competency, demonstrated through experience and past performance.
- Broad knowledge of all other core competencies.
- Strong communication, analytical, and persuasive skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels.
- Ability to multitask, supervise, manage time effectively, and solve problems.
- Understanding of job costs, profit and loss, and equipment requirements, with specific expertise in at least two core competencies.
- Ability to represent the company externally.
- Willingness to work beyond regular hours when necessary.
- Ability to travel overnight based on business needs.
- Minimum of five years of industry-related supervisory or account management experience.
- Must complete ongoing training in occupational safety and environmental regulations as part of the employee development program.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment background check, substance screening, and ongoing verifications, including employment history, criminal background, and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) checks.
Education Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor's degree highly desirable.
