Our client is a family-oriented construction firm that has been in business for over 25 years. Initially starting as a landscaping company, they transitioned into the biotech and life sciences construction space in 2008, quickly establishing themselves as a trusted partner for lab and pharmaceutical projects. Over the last five years, their construction division has experienced significant growth, and they are now seeking a Project Manager to help elevate their operations to the next level.
Description
- Oversee 2-5 projects simultaneously, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery.
- Conduct site visits, coordinate with Site Superintendents, and manage schedules and materials.
- Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Manage project documentation, including schedules, RFIs, and submittals, using Procore and Bluebeam.
- Ensure quality control and compliance with client specifications, especially for lab and life science builds.
- Wear multiple hats as needed, contributing as a Project Executive, Superintendent, and Project Manager.
Profile
- Experience:
- 5+ years in construction management, with a focus on lab, life sciences, or biotech projects.
- Strong experience in process piping, plumbing, and heavy mechanical systems (less emphasis on electrical).
- Education: Degree in Construction Management or related field preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.
- Soft Skills: Self-motivated, team-oriented, and adaptable to feedback. A sense of humor and a collaborative mindset are essential.
- Location: Ideally commutable to Fitchburg, MA, with flexibility to visit project sites in Cambridge, Greater Boston, and surrounding areas.
