Position Summary
MEP Project Manager for HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection
Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee MEP related activities throughout all phases of preconstruction and construction for multiple projects
- Manage a team of 15+ engineers to ensure their design and quality is code compliant, follows the client and architect's requirements, follows the client's budget intents, and follows the client's schedules
- Communicate with clients on a regular basis for project updates, requests, additional services, etc.
- Apply applicable codes and standards to mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection systems for all projects
- Run complex meetings with multiple attendees and manage follow-up deliverables
- Conduct TR inspections and site surveys for existing conditions
- 100% remote work environment
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and AutoCAD
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent from an Accredited College
- 4 or more years of relevant experience
- Strong understanding of the NEC, local, state, and International Building Codes
- Strong AutoCAD capabilities
- Experience with HVAC systems in large multifamily and commercial buildings
- Frequent local field visits in the NYC area will be necessary (approximately 30-40%)
- LEED AP BD+C and Certified Energy Manager (CEM) certifications are a plus
Required Experience
- NYC Department of Environmental Protection Sewer Connection Proposal and Cross Connection applications
- NYC DOB NOW expediting
- General Autodesk Revit, Bim360, and Navisworks
- Working knowledge of electrical and fire alarm systems
