Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a technically strong Project Manager (PM) / Project Director (PD) to play an active role in leading and growing our solid waste and alternative waste processing Teams throughout the region. In this role, you will be responsible for the growth and delivery of service offerings across the US but with emphasis in the Northeast. The focus will be on implementing strategic plans and roadmaps for the Waste sector in the US, identifying opportunities, client needs, and technical solutions.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
* Collaborate and contribute to the development of alternative waste processing and renewable energy projects in the waste, wastewater, and renewable energy industries, including anaerobic digestion, renewable natural gas, conventional and emerging renewables, and other applicable technologies such as hydrogen.
* Sustain traditional waste management projects including permitting, stormwater management, landfill expansions, landfill closures, transfer stations, etc.
* Establish and maintain long-lasting client relationships with municipal and private clients and prospects focusing in the Northeastern United States.
* Knowledge of waste, wastewater and/or renewable energy industries along with current technologies and regulations in order to understand market trends and requirements for project development.
* Promote and collaborate in innovative project delivery methods and champion this across GHD by providing mentorship and leadership to technical staff as appropriate.
* Collaborate with Regional Market Leaders, Client Resource Managers, Service Line Leaders, and Client Sector Leaders to achieve excellent business outcomes. Collaborate with the key stakeholder teams as noted above.
* Develop and mentor rising talent within the business and attract strategic hires to expand the business.
What you will bring to the team:
* Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science or related field
* Professional licensure preferred (PE or PG)
* Minimum of 8 years of experience in the waste and alternative waste processing sector including business development, project management, and technical leadership
* Experience in organic waste processing and waste technologies is paramount
* Ability to engage and influence various stakeholders, including clients, partners, regulators, and internal teams

Salary range: $101,600 - $152,400 based on experience
