OverviewKimley-Horn has an opportunity for a motivated Senior Project Manager to expand our Transportation Planning/Traffic practice in New York, NY.Responsibilities* Has an entrepreneurial spirit, creating a vision for growth in their personal practice while contributing to the growth of ourtransportation engineering practice in the local area and beyond* Assists in marketing and business development efforts with our existing local municipal, state, and private clients, while delivering a wide variety of transportation planning, traffic engineering, roadway, and/or ITS-related projects with our growing team of transportation professionals* Beyond serving our existing clients, has the ability to pursue own passions, leads, and clients* Leadership responsibilities include:* Operating with integrity and sound business principals* Providing vision, business planning and strategy* Establishing goals* Building and maintaining positive client relationships* Having open communication with your partners and team* Growing and leading a Transportation/Traffic practice* Our Project Managers/Practice Builders manage their projects profitably, transition work to qualified staff, grow and mentor staff, and act as a positive leader and mentor* The successful candidate will be given a great deal of autonomy to lead, direct, and grow their business* With success, this individual will enjoy the rewards of an impressive bonus program with the potential to advance to ownershipQualifications* 15+ years of transportation planning, traffic engineering and design, traffic operations, and/or ITS planning and design experience* Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) license* Track record of successfully winning and delivering work in the local area* Established relationships with local DOT, local agencies, and/or local municipalities* Demonstrated ability to manage transportation projects profitably through agency specifications* Excellent communication, leadership, and technical skills* Strong desire and ability to be engaged with clients solving project problems* Ability to effectively communicate positively at all levels of the organization* Ability to manage and mentor staff and direct resources effectively in a positive manner* Demonstrated ability to manage projects profitablySalary range 150-200K.Why Kimley-Horn?At Kimley-Horn, we do things differently.
