Job Description:
The Project Controls Planner has a primary objective to support the engineering, procurement, construction and Commissioning (EPCmV) group in the planning, and execution of large scale CAPEX projects by providing management with critical, decision-making information that ensures projects deliver on time. This includes advanced planning, scheduling, progress measurement, change management implementation and analysis that may involve a major project or several smaller projects.
Responsibilities:
- Expert experience level using project scheduling tools (MS Project, Primavera P6), Excel, PowerPoint and Pertmaster.
- Implement Project Planning/Scheduling strategy, plans and procedures, reflecting both Company and contractor roles, responsibilities and expectations.
- Coordinate the development and implementation of project Work Breakdown Structures (WBS).
- Perform probabilistic analysis on integrated schedules and contractor schedules.
- Conduct the required project schedule analysis, critical path analysis and schedule risk analysis for the project as a whole.
- Analyse deviations from the baseline in the Project Master schedule highlighting bottlenecks / delays and propose corrective actions.
- Prepare the Integrated Planning / Scheduling contribution to the Monthly Project Report and specific reports / presentations.
- Prepare resourcing plans for the overall and individual project phases, identifying any excessive peak numbers and making recommendations for peak levelling.
Education and Experience
- 5+ years of experience in CAPEX projects with roles in planning/scheduling: preferably in Biotech or Pharmaceutical industries.
- Significant experience in schedule set up, baselining , monitoring and controlling on large scale projects across the all phased of EPCmV.
- Advanced MS Excel.
- Software systems and packages including Primavera P6
