Job Description :

Our major client is seeking a Project Scheduler to work within their facilities located in Katy, TX for an initial 5-month assignment.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of detailed project schedules for industrial construction projects, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project goals.
  • Maintain strong customer-focused relationships with all stakeholders, including project managers, subcontractors, and clients.
  • Prepare and incorporate quantity take-offs, resource loading, and production analysis into the schedule to ensure proper allocation of resources.
  • Conduct regular site walks and schedule updates, communicating with site staff to validate and reflect construction progress accurately.
  • Contribute to all phases of project planning and scheduling, from preconstruction through project completion, including system completions and closeout.
  • Facilitate interactive planning sessions and support the project management team in the creation of short-term schedules.
  • Provide detailed progress reports, tracking performance against the PCL Baseline Schedule to ensure that milestone dates are met.
  • Integrate subcontractor schedules into the master schedule, tracking progress and updating as needed to maintain alignment with project objectives.
  • Produce 2D visual schedules and 4D graphic schedules for larger, more complex projects.
  • Incorporate resource and cost-loading data into project schedules, ensuring synchronization with other project management tools for seamless reporting.
  • Continuously expand and update knowledge of scheduling software, ensuring maximum efficiency in schedule management processes.

Qualifications:

  • 10-12 years of experience in industrial construction project scheduling, with extensive knowledge of the Critical Path Method (CPM).
  • Expert-level proficiency with Primavera P6 EPPM and demonstrated experience in managing complex, multi-phase industrial projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction specifications, building materials, and methods, as well as the ability to read and interpret construction drawings and contract documents.
  • In-depth knowledge of field construction operations and the logical sequencing of work from start to finish.
  • Proven ability to handle quantity take-offs, production rates, and resource allocation to support detailed scheduling processes.
  • Advanced skills in using Microsoft Office Suite and other project management systems.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders, prioritize work under strict deadlines, and adapt to dynamic project environments.
  • Experience in developing 4D graphic schedules for large, complex industrial projects.
