Summary:
The Project Controls Scheduler is responsible for developing, monitoring, and managing project schedules to ensure timely completion of projects. This role involves working closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to coordinate project activities, identify potential scheduling conflicts, and provide accurate project status updates.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develops detailed project schedules, including milestones, deliverables, and deadlines, using project management software such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar tools. Integrate schedules from various project teams to create a master project schedule.
2. : Regularly updates project schedules to reflect current project status. Monitors progress against the baseline schedule and reports any variances.
Performs critical path and earned value analysis to identify key project activities and potential delays.
3. : Collects data on project progress, including actual start and finish dates, resource usage, and productivity rates. Analyzes schedule performance and provides regular status reports to project stakeholders.
4. : Assesses the financial impact of project changes and variations, updating cost estimates and budgets accordingly. Participates in change control processes to ensure all changes are properly documented and approved.
5. : Facilitates communication between project teams to ensure alignment on schedule-related matters. Coordinates with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve scheduling conflicts and issues.
6. : Identifies potential scheduling risks and develops mitigation strategies. Conducts time impact analysis to assess the effect of changes on project timelines.
7. : Prepare and maintain comprehensive project scheduling documentation. Provides regular schedule reports, including Gantt charts, S-curves, and progress updates, to project management and stakeholders.
8. Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties in this job classification
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field preferred. An associate degree/certificate in project management will be considered, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
-: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in project scheduling, preferably in heavy industrial construction, engineering, or related industries.
